A significant increase in drilling volumes in the 60s and 70s, associated with the development of fields in Western Siberia, and the difficult geological and technological conditions of new fields determined the need to develop and manufacture domestic equipment - packers and special tools for separating formations during the construction and operation of oil and gas wells.
The main role in the development of the domestic practice of using this equipment was played by the research and development of the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Drilling Technology VNIIBT, in particular by the laboratory led by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor A.A. Gaivoronsky and leading laboratory specialists L.H. Farukshin, Y.Z. Tsyrin.
Today, ZERS has become a technological leader in well injection.
